Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, I have been living in Juneau since 2005. My grandmother is from the Inupiat village Kiŋigin (Wales). For me kayak building is a perfect combination of woodworking, getting out on the salt water, and learning more about Alaska Native watercraft.
